Gifted Evaluations
We offer comprehensive gifted evaluations for students age 2.5-21. The evaluation results may be shared with your child's school in effort to determine the most appropriate placement and setting.
The specific procedures and criteria for gifted evaluations involve a combination of the following components:
Cognitive (IQ) Assessment: These assessments measure a range of cognitive skills, such as reasoning, problem-solving, processing speed, visual spatial skills, verbal comprehension, and working memory.
Parent Input: We will collect parent or guardian input in effort to review information about your child's development, interests, and abilities. We collect this information through interviews and questionnaires.
A written report will then be provided as well as interpretation and explanation of the evaluation results.
In effort to determine eligibility for a gifted type of program in the state of Florida, the results of a cognitive/intellectual assessment must be considered. Additionally, we are experienced in administering both standard and expanded batteries of assessments that are accepted for gifted criteria.
